The search for a woman missing in Queenstown's Coronet Peak for more than two weeks has been paused this evening.
Brazilian national Erika Rodrigues Coelho, 47, was reported missing on September 20. No one had seen or heard from her since September 18.
Her rental car was found at Skippers Saddle on September 21.
Police last week sought a man seen on a summit track in the area on the day she was last seen.
Sergeant Terry Wood said the man was on the summit track in the Mount Dewar area, near Coronet Peak, about 12.30pm.
In an update this evening, Wood said police had carried out "extensive searches of the area" but Rodrigues Coelho had not been found.

Police thanked "every person who has dedicated countless hours of their time to the Search and Rescue operation".
"From the Land Search and Rescue volunteers, volunteers from Coastguard Queenstown and Clyde, managers of the ski lodges supplying accommodation to the searchers, the dog teams, members of the public, and everyone else involved from Fiordland to Omarama."
A formal review would be carried out in due course and a decision will be made regarding the direction of the search.
Police continued to encourage anyone who may have information on Rodrigues Coelho's whereabouts to contact police online at 105.police.govt.nz or call 105, or anoymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
