The Labour Party is promising to ban hidden fees and make subscription cancellations easier, if elected.

The newly-unveiled "fair go law" would require upfront pricing and curb costly add-ons.

"This election is about the cost of living, and New Zealanders are being hit by hidden fees they never saw coming. Labour will make sure New Zealanders get a fair go at the checkout," Hipkins said.
