National says it would aim to trial seamless Australia-NZ travel, allowing eligible travellers to use digital credentials and biometrics through more of the airport journey.

Speaking from Queenstown, Christopher Luxon said the plan would mean faster airport processing and no paper passport at the gate, while maintaining border security.

The Party aimed to introduce the trial before the 2028 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which New Zealand and Australia will co-host.
