A water pipe has burst in the Wellington suburb of Seatoun this afternoon, with repairs expected to leave up to 100 houses without drinking water for eight hours.
Tiaki Wai today said crews were responding to a burst drinking pipe on 80 Monro St.
"Our team have isolated the water supply to complete repairs," the organisation said.
The shutdown would affect 64-92 Monro St on both sides, 1-29 Pinnacle St on both sides, and all of Berwick Grove.
Between 80 and 100 houses were impacted at this stage.
"It is anticipated that the service will be isolated for approximately eight hours."
Two water tankers were on site to provide residents with drinking water while repairs were being carried out, Tiaki Wai said.
"We are waiting for traffic management to be mobilised at the site to commence with repairs."
