All White Liberato Cacace has picked up a driving ban in the UK after admitting to speeding multiple times on the same road.
The defender, who plays for Welsh club AFC Wrexham in the English Championship (second tier), was clocked speeding six times on the same road, which had a posted speed limit of 50 miles per hour (80km/h), according to local newspaper The Leader.
On one occasion, he was recorded speeding at 68mph (109km/h).
He was due to appear in the Mold Magistrates Court on Wednesday (local time), but did not attend.
Cacace's solicitor said he accepted full responsibility and wished to plead guilty.
The court dealt with him in his absence, banning him from driving for six months and fining him a combined £1023 (NZ$2384). He was also ordered to pay a £409 (NZ$953) victim surcharge and £780 (NZ$1818) in costs.
Cacace joined Wrexham, owned by actors American Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, at the start of last season. He has yet to feature this season as he battles a muscle problem.
Cacace appeared for the All Whites in all three games in their recent FIFA World Cup campaign.
