Lady Gaga and her fiancé welcomed their first child after the singer said she wanted to become a mother.

The baby's name, date of birth, and gender have not been made public, but a source told People that Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stephani Germanotta, and Michael Polansky are now parents.

The Grammy winner, 40, had previously revealed her desire to have children, stating in multiple interviews that motherhood was her next goal.

“I will say I am very excited to have kids,” she told InStyle in 2020.

“I look forward to being a mom. Isn’t it incredible what we can do? We can hold a human inside and grow it. Then it comes out, and it’s our job to keep it alive.”

In 2025, she told The Late Night with Stephen Colbert that she wanted her next "starring role" to be as a mum.

“I would like to do many things," Lady Gaga said.

“All of these things are open. But what I really want is to be a mom."

The singer and Polansky first linked up in 2020, later confirming their engagement in 2024 at the Paris Olympics, when she was overheard introducing Polansky as "my fiancé" to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
