A person has been critically injured following a collision between a car and e-motorcycle in East Auckland this afternoon.

Police said they were alerted to the crash on Eros Rd in Flat Bush around 1.30pm.

"Initial indications suggest one person sustained critical injuries."

St John paramedics were also at the scene.

Footage from the scene showed a red vehicle with damage to the passenger side door and wing mirror.

Eros Rd was now closed and motorists were advised to expect delays.

Enquiries into the circumstances behind the crash were ongoing.
