Silver Ferns star Grace Nweke has committed to another three years in Australia, signing with the newly rebranded Sydney Sirens.
The Commonwealth Games gold medalist joins the team, formerly known as the Giants, after a two-season stint with local rivals the NSW Swifts.
The move comes as many of New Zealand's top players head overseas amid uncertainty around the future of domestic netball. The goal shoot is the ninth New Zealand player confirmed as playing in the 2027 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN).
She was described by the Sirens as "one of the biggest names in world netball" and among the SSN's "most dominant and influential players".
Nweke said the Sirens had an "attractive fresh energy" – undergoing a rebrand with new owners at the helm.
"From my earliest conversations with the club, it was clear this wasn't simply about putting a team together," she said.
"The ambition of the organisation was really exciting, and I wanted to be part of that journey.
"Being able to help shape a club's identity and culture in its early years is a unique opportunity. I'm in it for the long haul and feel so excited to be involved in this new chapter as part of the inaugural Sirens squad."
Head coach Nerida Stewart said securing Nweke was a "landmark moment for our club".
"She's a proven match-winner, a world-class competitor and someone capable of changing a game in an instant.
"What excites us most is that Grace's impact goes beyond her talent on court. It was clear throughout our conversations that she genuinely believes in what we're building and wants to help shape it.
