A small aircraft has crashed upon landing and ended up in its roof in rural Canterbury this morning.
Emergency services were called to Hoskyns Rd and West Coast Road in Kirwee at 10.20am after reports of a "hard landing by a small aircraft".
Fire and Emergency NZ responded with three crews from Kirwee, Burnham Camp and Rolleston.
"No serious injuries have been reported," a police spokesperson said. Hato Hone St John said one person was assessed at the scene in a "minor condition".

Crews were still present in Kiriwee "make the scene safe", according to FENZ.
The Civil Aviation Authority had been notified.
Kiriwee is located around 34km from Chrischurch's city centre.
