Someone in Christchurch has woken up today a millionaire following last night's Lotto Draw.
Powerball rolled over last night and will be $25 million on Saturday.
Lotto this week announced it would withhold the locations of winners until the morning after draws to give "a wider window to see if they’re a big winner, while ensuring all key prize information continues to be available on draw night".
A Christchurch player, who bought their ticket at New World Ilam, won Lotto first division, taking home $1 million.
Meanwhile, a Strike player in Auckland won $400,000. That ticket was bought at New World Ormiston.
Nine players each won $36,330 in the second division, with tickets sold in Auckland, Hamilton, Pāpāmoa, Rotorua, Carterton, Porirua and Canterbury.
"Anyone who bought a ticket from any of the above winning stores should check their ticket as soon as possible instore, on MyLotto, or through MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said.
