Must-see TV in June: What's coming to TVNZ

The FIFA World Cup kicks off exclusively on TVNZ, chefs Colin and Manu hit the road again, MasterChef Australia reignites – and Love Island UK is set to sizzle.

Also in June the acclaimed British series Tip Toe and What the Hell Happened at Woofington’s? investigates the weird, wild and harrowing story behind a luxury dog retreat raided by NZ Police.

FIFA World Cup

(From June 16)

The world's largest sporting event begins, with exclusive coverage on TVNZ.

For a one-off payment of $44.95 football fans can catch all 104 matches live and keep up with an array of daily highlights and analysis.

TVNZ will also screen some World Cup matches live on free-to-air TV – including the All Whites' matches against Belgium, Egypt and Iran.

MasterChef Australia

(June 1, 7pm TVNZ 1)

Judges Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, Poh Ling Yeow and Jean-Christophe Novelli return to the MasterChef Australia kitchen for the show's 18th season this week. With 24 of the country’s best amateur cooks battling it out to be named the new superstars of food, its set to be another sizzling season of saucy surprises.

Alone

The survivalist reality series returns for its 13th season, and raising the stakes like never before - crowning the first-ever World Champion. For the first time in the series' history, 10 elite survivalists from around the globe - including Kiwi contestant Poldi Waldmann-Moloney - will be dropped deep inside the Arctic Circle, along the unforgiving Richardson Mountains of Canada’s Northwest Territories.
