Whanganui Lotto player wins $1.5m, Powerball jumps to $20m

A Whanganui Lotto player is $1.5 million richer after winning Strike in last night’s must be won draw, while Powerball has rolled over again.

The Strike Four ticket, worth $1.5m, was sold on MyLotto.

The winning numbers were 08, 10, 12, 14, 20 and 23, with a bonus ball of 40 and a Powerball of 06.

There was no Powerball winner in the live draw, meaning the jackpot climbs to $20m for Saturday night.

Meanwhile, two players — one from Wellington and one from Dunedin — each picked up $500,000 after winning Lotto First Division. Both tickets were also sold on MyLotto.

Thirteen players around the country shared Lotto Second Division, each winning $21,730. One of those players, from Tauranga, also struck Powerball Second Division, boosting their total winnings to $41,115.

The winning Second Division tickets were sold at stores including Kamo Lotto in Whangārei, Meadowlands Lotto in Auckland, Pak’nSave Palmerston North, and New World Centre City in Dunedin, as well as several MyLotto tickets across the country.
