The Easter egg budgets of two lucky Kiwis have gone through the roof after winning half a million dollars each in last night's Lotto draw.
The winning numbers were 01, 09, 25, 30, 38, and 40, with a bonus ball of 22 and a Powerball of 04.
The tickets were sold at Jervois Food Market in Auckland's Herne Bay and Black Cat Store in Nelson.
In addition to the First Division draw wins, $400,000 was won by another Aucklander with Strike Four. That ticket was sold at Edmonton Stationery & Lotto.
Lotto encouraged anyone who bought tickets from those three stores to check them out as soon as possible.
Powerball was not struck and has rolled over to a $10 million jackpot for Wednesday night.
Last week, two Auckland players each won $12.75 million, splitting Powerball First Division.
One of the winners kept the news quiet for days, prompting their children to suspect something was up when called in for a "chat".
The secret was finally revealed with champagne and dinner out, after the family gathered to hear they’d shared the $25m Powerball jackpot.
The two winners were the seventh and eighth Powerball multi‑millionaires this year.
