An East Coast principal has taken a cannabis grower to task, telling them to "move your dope to dry somewhere else" amid a "pungent smell" which she says has been wafting onto its grounds.
Tolaga Bay Area School & Kahukuranui posted the letter on social media today, signed off by principal Nori Parata, which asked the person responsible to move the cause of the odour "far from the school".
"For the last week or so the pungent smell has been wafting on to our grounds and is particularly bad in the morning as our kids are coming to school, when they are moving between classes, or doing any outdoor activities and sport.
"They are commenting on the smell," the letter read.
Nori added: "This is not the learning environment we want for our children and young people, and we will not normalise it."
The letter explained police had been informed.
"So move it".
