Residents in Auckland’s Mt Albert have described their frustration with an out-of-control party at a Booking.com rental – which reportedly turned violent overnight.
Neighbours of the property told 1News they heard screaming at fighting on the street – and police said multiple people had been injured.
A police spokesperson said officers were called to a "large disorder event involving young people" on Phyllis Street in Mount Albert at around 9.50pm.
“Early information suggests that a vehicle was driven toward a group of partygoers," a police spokesperson said.
Police were working to establish exactly what occurred.

Meanwhile, Hato Hone St John said five ambulances, four rapid response vehicles, and two managers had been deployed to the scene.
"Our crews assessed and treated two patients in a serious condition, and three patients in a moderate condition who were transported to Auckland City Hospital, and one patient in a minor condition who was assessed and treated at the scene," police said.
Property manager ‘so sad this had happened’
Quan Shu, the building manager of the property, said he had seen articles about a party in the area earlier in the day, but was not aware it was a property he managed before being contacted by 1News.
“It was a normal booking for two people,” he said.
“They broke the terms and conditions.

“Once we have more information, we will make a complaint to Booking.com about the people.”
Shu added he was “so sad this had happened”.
“I’m sorry what’s happening to the neighbours. We are the most serious victims. There could be thousands of dollars in damages.”
‘Lots of screaming’
Neighbours told 1News a person had been stabbed in the chaos.
Susan and Michael, who lived near the property, told 1News they heard "lots of screaming from the park".
"We live across from a big park which is pretty quiet, we don't get a lot of altercations.
"It's a busy park with people going through and walking their dogs, but other than that it's a really nice neighbourhood".
Michael also said: "There was a vibe" when they went out to get pizza last night.
"We came back and there was a group of people hanging out around the reserve which was unusual, it was a large group of young people, and they don't normally hang out in the dark at the park at that time.
"A little while later, we saw the cop cars go past."
Neighbour Sam Patten said he understood the landlord lets people book out the two properties for short-term stays, with other parties happening in the past.
"I have two young kids which can be challenging as we are all getting ready for bed when there's parties kick off.
"These parties seem to have a life of their own, they get out of hand very quickly."
Patten said it was hard to get in contact with the landlord as they aren't around.
"It's hard to pin him down and hard to have a landlord who's not here present seeing what's happening, really take responsibility."
Another neighbour, Rosemarie Powell, said at 9.15pm, more and more people began to congregate on the street.
"There were a lot of young people coming out onto the road.
"At one point, there was a lot of screaming and yelling, so you could tell something was going down."
She said there were police, helicopters and ambulances.
"We just stayed in our home behind a locked door because it just didn't look like a safe place to go."
She said it was a shame as the properties could be a home for someone.
Sharyn Buckley, another witness, said kids were dropped off around 7.30pm by their parents.
"Within an hour, there's like 100 kids in the street, at the property, you could hear yelling and screaming.
"We made sure we brought all our cars off the road because this happened a couple of years ago, same property."
