Sarah Ferguson has had another title stripped from her, continuing the former Duchess of York's fall from grace.
Ferguson was stripped of her honorary Freedom of the City of York, which was voted for unanimously by councillors, the BBC reported.
She was given the honorary title after her 1987 marriage to the then-Prince Andrew, who was the Duke of York at the time.
It comes as scrutiny on Fergusion has mounted after the US Department of Justice released millions of documents related to the investigation into the now dead convicted paedophile Jefferey Epstein.
While she has been accused of no wrongdoing, Ferguson's friendship with the financier has been criticised, especially since it was revealed she emailed Epstein about visiting him at his Miami home after he was released from prison. The files revealed Ferguson had called Epstein a "supreme friend".
The City of York's Labour leader Claire Douglas said honourary Freedom was only bestowed on individuals of "distinction and those having given eminent services to the City of York".
"As the people of York would expect, holding this status requires upholding the values and behaviours consistent with such an honour. Those who continued to associate with Epstein after his crimes became widely known fall well short of these expectations.
"City of York councillors considered these issues this evening and agreed that removing the honour from Sarah Ferguson was appropriate. This was the right decision to take to maintain the integrity and standing of this important York honour."
Ferguson's ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, had his honorary Freedom stripped three years ago.
Liberal Democrat councillor Darryl Smalley said at the time: "Having been stripped of his military roles and royal patronages by the Queen, we believe that it is right to remove all links that Prince Andrew still has with our great city.
"I was pleased to see councillors of all parties support this motion and make it clear that it is no longer appropriate for Prince Andrew to represent York and its residents."
Ferguson lost her Duchess title in October last year when King Charles stripped Andrew of all his titles over his friendship with Epstein.
Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested by UK police in February on suspision of on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was investigated after the released emails with Epstein revealed he may have shared confidential trade information.
Ferguson has been dropped as patron by several charities as the scandal over the former-Yorks' ties to Epstein continued.
In February, Ferguson's charity, Sarah's Trust, said it would close for the foreseeable future.
