A violent fight which began at a house in south Auckland and continued with people being chased in the street and a man being knocked unconscious is being investigated.
Counties Manukau West CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Hayward said a fight broke out after a disagreement at a property on Hauiti Rd in Ōtāhuhu involving people known to each other.
"This fighting has spilled out onto the road, and two people were chased down the road," he said.
One of the two alleged aggressors got into a vehicle and drove down Hauiti Rd.
The vehicle hit two parked vehicles on Hokonui Rd a short time later.

"The driver exited, and fighting continued in public. One person has been struck over the head with a weapon and was knocked unconscious," Hayward said.
A second person was also attacked, he said.
Both aggressors then fled the scene in another vehicle.
"Police were later called to a Manurewa address, where a man believed to be involved required medical assistance for injuries."
Hayward said the investigation remained ongoing, and officers were not currently seeking anyone else.
