Four young people aged 15 to 17 arrested following a police chase across Auckland yesterday have been jointly charged.
Officers were called to reports of an aggravated burglary at a property on Bleakhouse Rd in Howick around 3.10pm on Tuesday.
Police yesterday said they were armed with a machete.
Police soon afterwards spotted a Ford Ranger allegedly stolen from the address and the vehicle was tracked through to central Auckland.

It was seen being driven dangerously, at speed and crossing onto the wrong side of the road.
It hit vehicles belonging to the public, and rammed police cars.
The chase ended on Karangahape Rd in central Auckland.
Those arrested were all males aged between 15 and 17, said Counties Manukau District Commander Superintendent Shanan Gray.
"All four have jointly been charged with committing burglary with a weapon, over the offending that took place in Howick.
The 16-year-old driver was also charged with assaulting a person with a blunt instrument, failing to stop and reckless driving.

"All are expected to have appearances in the Manukau Youth Court," Gray said.
Police deployed a range of tactics throughout the chase, including a distraction device, a non-lethal sponge round and a police dog. A police officer was seen by 1News laying down road spikes.
Two of those arrested required treatment in hospital.
The victim of the aggravated burglary in Howick was shaken by the violent event that took place and has been provided support.
A woman at the address told 1News her husband was home at the time of the incident and that it was "very scary".
Police urged anyone who may have been affected during the pursuit, or had their vehicles damaged, to get in touch.

“Police are aware a number of people may have been victims of minor collisions or have been sideswiped by the offending vehicle," Gray said.
Anyone who believed their vehicle was damaged by a white Ford Ranger between 3.15pm and 4.30pm was asked to contact police on 105.
