US rock band A Perfect Circle is returning to New Zealand late this year – 22 years after their last show.

The band, formed by Maynard James Keenan - the Tool singer - and guitarist Billy Howerdel in 1999, will perform at Auckland's Spark Arena on Sunday, December 13, Live Nation announced today.

A Perfect Circle will be supported by electro-rock outfit Puscifer, featuring Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round. The band released their latest album, Normal Isn't, early last month.

The band announced a major European tour last year – their first headline outing since 2018. The tour kicks off in London on June 3, wrapping up at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid on July 10.
