Around the world: Photos of a blood-red moon and total lunar eclipse

Wednesday 3:30pm
The Worm Moon sets behind the Monument of the Salamis Fighters, also known as Salaminomachoi, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, on Salamina island, Greece, honouring the ancient Greeks who died in the naval Battle of Salamis in 480 BC.

The full moon in March, sometimes called the worm moon, coincides with a lunar eclipse that brings a blood-red color in many parts of the world.
