Prime Minister Christopher Luxon spoke to media this afternoon following his weekly Cabinet meeting.

Over the weekend, the US and Israel launched a major military operation against Iran, where its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed.

Tehran has responded by striking multiple countries throughout the Middle East.

Luxon and Foreign Minister Winston Peters have acknowledged the US-Israeli attack and condemned Tehran's retaliatory strikes.
