A person has been seriously injured, and another has been arrested after an incident in West Auckland this morning.
Police were called to Great North Rd in the suburb of Glen Eden at around 10am on Saturday after a report of an incident involving people known to each other.
Arriving officers found one person with serious injuries, while another person was taken into custody, a police spokesperson said.
"Inquiries are ongoing."
Photos posted to social media show at least six police vehicles outside the address and tape cordoning off the driveway.
St John said an ambulance, a manager, and a rapid response unit to the scene.
"Our crews assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition," a St John spokesperson said.
