Police hunt for Auckland man wanted over assault, firearm offences

Auckland police are searching for a man wanted over assault and firearm-related offences who they allege is actively evading arrest.

John Joseph Paparoa, 52, was also wanted in relation to dishonesty offending, Auckland City District Police said, adding they held concerns for his welfare.

Police were seeking the public's assistance to locate Paparoa.

Anyone who sees the man or knows "where he may be hiding" has been urged to contact police through 105, using the reference number 250131/8937.
