More than 28kg of cocaine has been found hidden behind a television inside a luxury bus in South Australia.

The discovery was made by Australian Border Force officers searching a cargo ship berthed at Outer Harbor.

"Australian Border Force officers performed an intelligence-led forensic search using videoscope technology and detector dogs," Australian Federal Police said today on social media.

"They identified several 1kg packages of a white powdered substance – which tested positive to cocaine – hidden behind the television."

Said the Australian Federal Police in the social media post: "What's behind your TV – usually dust, right? But not more than 28kg of it."
