Three people have been injured after a dog attack in Christchurch's Bryndwr this afternoon.
Hato Hone St John said two people, one with critical injuries and one with serious injuries, had been transported to Christchurch Hospital.
The third patient was treated at the scene and was in a minor condition.
Police said the incident took place at a residential property on Bevin Place, and was reported at about 2.45pm.
Emergency services located the three people at the scene.
Two dogs at the scene were being restrained by animal control and would be taken from the scene, said Christchurch area commander acting Superintendent Ash Tabb.
"There is no ongoing risk to the public, and a scene examination will be carried out," Tabb said.
