A person has been seriously injured following an altercation in the Auckland suburb of Onehunga this afternoon.
Police were called to Onehunga Mall at around 3.46pm on Friday following reports of an injured person.
"Inquiries will be ongoing with a police presence remaining in the area," a police spokesperson said.
St John responded with two ambulances and two rapid response vehicles.
"Two patients were assessed at the scene, with one being transported to Auckland City Hospital in a serious condition."
