A man has been charged with the murder of a Tauranga man, whose body was found in a secluded part of a park in the city last week.
Dax Holland's body was found in Wharepai Domain on Saturday, February 14.
A post-mortem of the 54-year-old found his death to be suspicious, and a homicide investigation was launched by police.
This afternoon, Detective Senior Sergeant Natalie Flowerdew-Brown said a 24-year-old has been charged with murder.
He was due to appear in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow.
"Police still want to hear from anyone who may have seen any unusual or suspicious behaviour around the Wharepai Domain before to 2pm on Saturday 14 February," Flowerdew-Brown said.
Those with information were asked to call police on 105.
