Housing and RMA reform minister Chris Bishop is making a housing intensification speech in Auckland today.

It's expected he will announce changes to Auckland housing intensification legislation, having faced opposition to plans forcing Auckland Council to change zoning to allow for two million new homes.

He is making a speech to the Committee for Auckland at the recently opened NZ International Convention Centre from midday.
