The Foo Fighters are the first international music act announced to play at Christchurch's new Te Kaha stadium.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have announced they will be returning to New Zealand for two shows when they hit the road for the Australasian leg of their Take Cover Tour next summer.
The group would first head to Christchurch on January 19, 2027, before heading north to play at Auckland's Western Springs Stadium on January 22.
They will be supported in Christchurch by Wellington punk outfit Dartz and Dunedin rockers Seek Help!
The Auckland openers will be Dick Move and Ringlets, who recently took the stage at Laneway.
