Racing has been called off following a serious collision between New Zealand's Black Foils and DS Team France on the opening day of the New Zealand Sail Grand Prix in Auckland.
The two F50 catamarans collided during racing on the Waitematā Harbour on Saturday, forcing officials to abandon racing.
Event organisers said two athletes were assessed and treated for injuries and were in a stable condition.
"Racing has been abandoned following a major collision between New Zealand and France on Day One of the Auckland Sail Grand Prix," a statement from the organisers said. "Two athletes have been treated for injuries but are in stable condition."

All other crew members had been accounted for.
New Zealand’s Black Foils and Spain’s Los Gallos both suffered crashes which left them out of action in Perth last month.
After a dramatic collision with Switzerland cut New Zealand’s season debut short, SailGP Technologies has led an all-hands-on-deck operation to rebuild the Black Foils’ F50 in time for their home event this weekend.
The ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix is the second of 13 events across five continents this season, with 13 SailGP Teams represented on Waitematā Harbour.
