Four children were on board a bus that caught on fire in north Auckland this morning.
The incident was reported on Pakiri Rd, Leigh at around 8.30am.
Police said the bus had been "extensively damaged" in the fire.
Sergeant Mark Stallworthy said four children were on board at the time of the fire, and were all safely removed.
"It's fortunate that no one has been hurt," Stallworthy said.

Pakiri Rd would be down to one lane until around midday.
