A school bus has caught fire in Mangawhai this afternoon.
Police said they were called to the incident at 3.55pm on Mangawhai Rd. A section of the roadw as closed due to the fire.
The bus caught fire near the intersection with Carter Rd, south of the Mangawhai township.
Police confirmed all 20 people aboard, including the driver were safe and accounted for.
They said the road would be reopened once the scene was cleared.
