A major central Auckland motorway off-ramp has reopened after a car caught fire Sunday afternoon.
Police said it received reports of a car on fire at the Khyber Pass Rd off-ramp around 1.50pm.
Fire and Emergency NZ said it responded with two crews. The blaze was extinguished by 2.08pm.
"Crews then cleared the scene, before leaving it with police and traffic control."
A police spokesperson said motorists could expect "some disruption" while emergency services remained at the scene.
No injuries had been reported.
The off-ramp was closed but had since reopened.
"Use the Symonds St or Market Rd off-ramps as an alternative," it said.
A Facebook user described the car as "well ablaze" at the front end.
