Cocaine press, pistol found in searches targeting Comancheros

A pistol seized from an address in Flat Bush.

Police have found methamphetamine, a loaded pistol, and what is believed to be a cocaine press in searches of two properties linked to the Comanchero Motorcycle Club in south-east Auckland today.

The discovery came after police executed three search warrants across Auckland's Flat Bush this morning.

Police national gang unit Detective Inspector Wayne Gray said two men were arrested at separate addresses, which targeted a "patched member" and "an associate" of the gang.

"As a result, we have located a press that will be alleged to have been used to press bricks of cocaine."

Police also seized the loaded pistol at one address.

At another address, police said nearly a kilogram of a cutting agent was located, along with 64 grams of methamphetamine.

The police national gang unit tageted men linked to the Comancheros, police said.

A 33-year-old patched Comanchero was charged with conspiracy to deal methamphetamine, police said.

The associate, aged 30, has been charged with possession for supply of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a pistol and unlawfully possessing ammunition.

Gray said it was "no secret" the Comancheros gang continued to "impose suffering and a negative influence on many communities across the country".

"Police remain committed to using every opportunity to prevent and disrupt this criminal activity from occurring, and today’s enforcement is a good example of that."
