A 36-year-old man accused of stabbing two people on an Auckland bus last year has pleaded not guilty to one charge of murder and one of causing grievous bodily harm.
A homicide investigation was launched in December after the separate stabbings on the same vehicle travelling from Glen Innes towards Ōrākei.
One man died and a second man was seriously injured in the incident.
At the Auckland High Court this morning Judge MacGillivray granted interim name suppression to continue for the suspect while further assessments take place.
The man has been remanded in custody and will next appear in the Auckland High Court on February 9 for a three week trial.
