Two more people have been charged over an "unprovoked" attack at a Wellington party that left seven young people injured, including one with a fractured skull, but a fourth offender remains at large.
Around 90 young people were attending the gathering at a Churton Park premises on December 13 when four uninvited people arrived wearing masks about 10.30pm, with one armed with a weapon, according to police.
Authorities said earlier this month the group had then gone on to carry out a "planned, violent, unprovoked assault" on seven young partygoers before fleeing.
The seven victims received a range of injuries, from minor bruising to a fractured skull, which required surgery, and were recovery at home as of last week.
In an update this morning, Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Leitch said a further two alleged offenders had been taken into custody over the assaults.
A 21-year-old man will appear in the Wellington District Court on January 22 and a 17-year-old will appear in the Wellington Youth Court on January 27, police said.
The pair jointly face charges of wounding, assault to injure and common assault.
They join an 18-year-old Tawa man arrested earlier this month, who was due to appear in the Wellington District Court on January 29. He was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault with intent to injure, and common assault.
Police are still appealing for help to locate the fourth suspect in the incident, who was allegedly wearing a grey hoodie, beige or grey shorts, and black sneakers on the night.
The person was not in previously-released CCTV images from a Johnsonville petrol station, Leitch said.
"His violent offending is most likely known to the people around him, and we appeal for those that know him to contact police with his name," he said.
"Police would like to thank the community for their excellent assistance that resulted in these arrests and would like their help once again to help locate the fourth offender."
