Police are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage in relation to a double‑fatal crash northwest of Rotorua earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to the two‑vehicle crash on State Highway 30 around 4.20am on Thursday. Two people died and one person suffered moderate injuries.
Police said they were seeking footage from anyone who was travelling on Fenton St in Rotorua, or on Curtis Rd at Tikitere, between 2am and 4.20am.
"In particular, we are looking for footage of a green Honda Spike, similar to the one pictured, with the registration HBS903, or any information about the vehicle’s movements during that time," a spokesperson said.
They stressed the request relates to the ongoing investigation and did not specify the vehicle’s role in the crash.
