A woman has had a family violence charge upgraded to murder after a man was found dead in Tauranga late last year.
Emergency services were called to Fraser St in the suburb of Parkvale at around 11.40am on December 14.
A homicide investigation was launched after a man was found dead at the address.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Varnam said a 37-year-old woman, initially charged with assault on a person in a relationship, had been today charged with murder following further inquiries.
"Police's investigation into the death of the man is ongoing," he said.
"Tauranga Police would like to hear from anyone who may have information about this incident or those involved."
