Two killed in two-vehicle crash in Hamilton

Two people have died following a serious crash in Hamilton overnight.

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on Te Rapa Rd, in the western Hamilton suburb of Beerescourt, at around 12.30am.

"Sadly, two people were located deceased at the scene,' a police spokesperson said.

The road between Forest Lake Rd and Vardon Rd was closed while the serious crash unit conduct a scene examination, and would reopen shortly.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were ongoing.
