SH1 near Papakura reopens after serious crash

Auckland's Southern Motorway has reopened to all traffic following a serious crash this morning near Papakura.

Police said the crash between a car and bus occurred around 10.50am.

One person was seriously injured.

Earlier the motorway was closed northbound adjacent to the Papakura on-ramp.

New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said traffic remains heavy in the area.

"Expect delays as congestion eases," it said.
