Person dies in crash with vehicle in Rangitikei

A person has died following a crash involving a vehicle in Rangitikei this morning.

The crash on Taihape-Napier Rd was reported just after 11.20am, police said.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle involved sustained moderate to serious injuries in the collision.

Taihape-Napier Rd was closed near Comet Rd while a scene examination was being carried out.
