The owner of a small town store in coastal Northland has been left with a fractured shoulder after an alleged assault by a customer in broad daylight.
Dallas Gurney, former boss of news station Today FM, was left with a fractured shoulder after being pushed off the deck of the Whananaki General Store which he runs and owns with his wife Donna Gurney.

A lane on Auckland's State Highway 20 is blocked following a rubbish fire this afternoon.
Police said they were alerted after a rubbish truck spilled its load, which was on fire, on the left westbound lane near the Lambie Dr offramp around 2.17pm.
