Masked thieves steal donations box at Australian Sikh temple

CCTV images has shown the moment a masked man used an angle grinder to break into a Sikh temple, causing damage and stealing a donation box.

Police believed two offenders were involved in the burglary at the Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha temple in Campbellfield, Melbourne's north, about 10.30pm (local time) on December 29.

He could be seen approaching the shrine inside and removing a large donation box, before stealing about AU$1500 cash.

The donation box was carried outside before being left in the car park as the men fled in a car.

Detectives released CCTV footage and images of one of the men they believed could assist with their investigation.
