Police have named the man who died after being crushed under his vehicle at his Wānaka home on Monday as 85-year-old David Simmers.
Emergency services were called to his home on Roche St at around 10.45am after reports he had become trapped under his vehicle.
Police said despite efforts from first responders he was unable to be revived.
"Police offer their condolences to David’s family and friends," a spokesperson said.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
