Auckland's State Highway 1 northbound has reopened following a 'serious incident' earlier today.

Vehicles were diverted after officers were called to the area near Greville Rd shortly before 11am.

"Police would like to thank motorists for their understanding while the situation was resolved," a police spokesperson said.
