A person was critically injured and part of a state highway was closed for a time following a two-vehicle crash in Christchurch late this morning.
Emergency services were called to the collision between a car and motorbike on Curletts Rd (SH75) around 11am, police said.
Hato Hone St John said it was alerted to the crash around 10.54am, responding with an ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.
One person was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a critical condition.
Tthe serious crash unit has been investigating.

Curletts Rd was closed to northbound traffic between Lincoln Rd and the SH75/SH76 interchange following the incident but had since reopened.
