One dead after single-vehicle crash in Canterbury

One person has died after a single-vehicle crash in Rolleston, Canterbury this morning.

Police said the crash was first reported at 7.45am on Jones Road.

"The sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene."

Hato Hone St John said one ambulance, one rapid response unit and one operations manager responded.

Jones Road is back open, having been closed while a scene examination was carried out.

Fire and Emergency crews also assisted at the scene.
