A 10-year-old boy from Huntly has become a social media sensation after starting his own lawn-mowing business — believed to make him the town's youngest business owner — while offering free services to local kaumātua.
Harry Muru-Kete is the face of Second to None, a lawn-mowing service that has quickly gained attention online, attracting close to 20,000 followers on social media.
He charges between $45 and $70 for most lawns, with larger, overgrown sections costing more, but he does not charge kaumātua.
He told 1News he learned how to mow lawns at the age of five, initially helping his older brother before deciding to start his own business.
"I started with my brother and took a few lawns off him," he said.
"Then I decided I wanted to make my own."

Local residents said Muru-Kete regularly refused payment, even when offered.
"I want to pay him, but he won't let me," one kaumātua said.
Another said she previously paid around $70 for her lawn to be mowed.
"He deserves it because he's giving up his time," she said.
Harry had already mowed dozens of lawns around Huntly and documented much of his work online, where his videos had been widely shared.
Those in the community said the young entrepreneur had made a strong impression.
"His mum and dad would be so proud," one said.
Harry's advice to others thinking about lawn mowing was simple.
"If you don't know how to do it," he laughed, "don't do it."
