Woman, 37, charged in relation to Tauranga homicide

A woman has been charged in relation to the death of a man in Tauranga yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to an address on Fraser St in Parkvale around 11.40am on Sunday and a homicide investigation was launched after a man was found dead.

A 37-year-old woman was due in Tauranga District Court today, charged with assault on a person in a family relationship.

"The homicide investigation is ongoing, and police are not ruling out any further charges," Detective Inspector Craig Rawlinson said.

Police earlier said a scene examination was carried out on Sunday.

Anyone with information on the incident or those involved have been asked to contact police on 105.
