Prime Minister Christopher Luxon spoke to media today after his weekly Cabinet meeting.
Last night, a shooting took place at Sydney's Bondi Beach at a Hanukkah celebration, where 15 people were killed, and 40 others were injured.
This morning, Luxon told Breakfast he had reached out to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to offer New Zealand's support.
"It was incredibly shocking, appalling and personally I felt quite sick. The reality is that your thoughts just go immediately to those people that were just on the beach having fun, and absolute chaos ensued," Luxon said.
